We've Moved In...

For some strange reason, I was looking forward to "moving"...I thought, WOW, now I can clean out, organize and throw away a lot of junk....OMY, I am sooooo tired! I love my new home, but golly do I have a lot of STUFF!!!! Honestly though, I could not have done it without amazing friends. Some of Marty's buddies lifted, loaded and lugged for 3 solid days, while my mom and dad slaved from packing me up, babysitting, cooking, cleaning, building, hanging up things, unpacking etc., The kids adjusted well, apart from Abby cutting 5 teeth at the same time, we've all pretty much settled it. I like my high speed internet, and my crop room, and my beautiful kitchen, and my (Okay that's enough)....Thank you ALLLLL who helped out and made me feel special (Jennifer; you work horse, Becky; only a true friend will clean out a refrigerator; Mom and Dad, you just flat amaze me; all the guys who lifted pianos, armours, beds etc., Dennis, Mark, Oscar, Granddad...Thanks You've made our little McKee family SUPER happy :)

"Mommy's Busy"

The two words I've learned to hate....it's been so crazy here trying to pack, care for Marty and Isaac (flu), plan a women's retreat, disciple, Bible study, teach Sunday School, prepare lessons for pre-K, and well, sometimes I have to shower. When Rhea says "mommy, want to play mommies with me?" Lately my automatic response has been "Mommy's busy honey." It depresses me to no end. When I do stop and play with her, I feel the stress build up in my neck because I see the laundry, the dishes, the mess, when I don't stop to play with her, the stress is there another way. I'm so tired of being BUSY! Life is too short.

10 Commandments

We were talking about the 10 Commandments today and I asked my kids if they knew any of the 10 Commandments. Well, my sweet son rose his hand and said, "I don't know 10, but I know 2!" "Really," I replied, with a rather proud feeling, "which ones honey" "You know Mom, Elle and Manny on Ice Age 2...you know the two mammoths" Ok, it's not as funny written as it is saying it. If you say 10 commandments out loud quickly, a child, or anyone for that matter might think you're referring to Mammoths! Especially if that's all you've been watching for the past week!

Birthday Party

I haven't uploaded pictures in a while, so I wanted to post these of Isaac's Birthday Party! We had a blast with a Happy Feet birthday, we were Pinguins! Isaac loved everyone one of his presents...Thanks everyone!

SHE TOOK HER FIRST STEPS

Rhea, is my little Princess. Doesn't she look all grown up? Only 3.5 years old, writing her name, singing, and playing mommy and sisters all day!

Abby did it. 8 mos. 1 week, she took 2.5 steps by herself. She didn't know what happened but did it with ease. I'm with her all day long, and go out one evening with the girls, and she does it for Daddy! Where's the love? Anyway, here are some recent pics of my beauties! Enjoy!

Random thoughts

Yes, yes, yes, I've been wanting to blog for several days.. but for some reason cannot upload a picture. I tried to use my dad's computer when he was here, but to no avail. So I'll blog without pictures. Anyone have a clue?

We celebrated Isaac's 5th birthday! My baby, my first born is FIVE YEARS old... They say that the first 5 years of a persons's life determines the path they will go. Oh Father, I pray we have lead Him on your path. He is such a joy. He wanted a Happy Feet birthday, so we had penguin races (tying their ankles together and running to the freezing cold water to retreive a fish with their mouths) Happy Feet Cake and Ice Cream. It was sweet. Oh to be 5 again. His big thing now is to save his money (in his wallet like his daddy, however, sad to say, Isaac has more cash than his daddy). He's saving his money to buy a big Light-Saber "life-saver" is what he calls it. (it's peer pressure, a friend at church has one, and he just HAS to have one.) So we've started a chore chart in order to earn an allowance. We are really trying to teach giving to God first, then savings, AND THEN buy what you want. We'll see if it sticks!

My middle baby (Rhea) is 31/2. She's become a little bossy. Just wondering if this is a girl thing or middle child thing? She is very influential and sad to say she's picking up my bad habits. I heard her say a few days ago to her baby dolls "UGH, You are driving me CRAZY!" I wonder where she heard that :) I have heard on the other hand pray for someone without being prompted to, and she randomly tells people she loves them (friends, teachers, family) She's a firecracker...but I wouldn't change her a bit!

Abby is Abby. 8 mos....CONSTANTLY moving. I swear that girl has more energy than all of us put together. She is on the move always. Even when she is sleeping, her foot is rocking or she's going to town on her pacifier. She is the happiest thing I've ever seen and I can't imagine our family without her!

We finally sold it... Yep, we've got a contract on the house and close in 22 days. We are so glad, but know it's going to be an exhausting process. We've made a bid on a house and just pray everything goes perfectly. We are excited to be closer to civilization, have a little more room, and to go through and organize all of our stuff! Pray for us!

Just blessing after blessing. WE praise God for all the glorious riches He's given us....we don't deserve a one! Happy Blogging!

Fondue! Fun!

Yes, it's been a while, but I didn't think posting this would have it's true affect without the pictures, but for some reason, my acient dial up internet is not allowing pictures at this time, so I will give a brief description of our Family Fondue Fun night~

I got a chocolate fondue fountain for Christmas (well ok, I bought if for myself the day after Thanksgiving...it was going to be a gift, but I kept instead; don't laugh I know you've done that before). Anyway, we pulled it out, and me being a chocolateholic I decided to influence my entire family into the same bad habits. The kid's eyes were HUGE as the chocolate started pouring out. I think Isaac actually had saliva dripping out the side of his mouth, Rhea was speechless. So, we pulled out the pretzels, strawberries, nuts and marshmallows and started dipping away. By the way, this would've been really fun without kids hee hee. We had chocolate all over the place including hair, hands, noses and feet! We laughed and carried on. The kids loved being invovled...even Abby got her hand in it!

As I sat watching the excitement of Chocolate, I couldn't help but reflect on my excitement for other sweets. Just like the chocolate poured down, so did the blood of my Savior. How sweet it is to know him, and how exciting it is to first taste of him. Oh how I wish I could get excited, like my kids did, everytime I think about Him and what He's done in my life. Chocolate is sweet everytime I taste it....So should God. How come we get so immune to Him? He is the sweetest thing of all, and yet, we forget. My simple prayer as I cleaned up the splattered Chocolate was that I will FOREVER taste and see that the Lord is good. That the palate of my life will not grow accostume to His love, grace and mercy...and that my precious family will know His sweetness too!

Happy Fondueing....it's worth the mess!
