Ok friends, family, and blog servers... This is not very deep, but needed. I have an opportunity to go to Ukraine this summer with Isaac my 6 yr. old! I cannot wait to see where my sister lives, where and to whom she ministers. I will get to help her with their new home, work with the orphans she loves on, and maybe even encourage some women in her church while we are there! Here is the deal...it's gonna cost a lot! SO---do any of you have ideas on getting money fast??

I am leaving in less than 2 weeks for Rwanda...we raised about 1500 by getting a senior photography major (who is going on the trip) to take pictures of whoever wanted them (seniors, kids, etc) for a ($100 minimum)donation to the trip. We gave them a cd with all the pics on there and they can print how and when they want. Usually sitting fees run $100 - $250 and then you pay for pics. I don't know if you are a budding photographer or if you know one that would do this but it really helped us raise money. It is a good time with proms and sr. pics and engagements all "blooming" - maybe it will work for you...it did for us.
Hope all is well - how exciting that you are taking your son with you. We will have to share stories sometime later this summer!

we bought the tickets for June 11-June 23!! Omigosh, we're really going...FYI- Isaac and Rhea and their friends had a lemonade/cookie stand last weekend and raised $16.00 for our trip! I know the Lord will multiply that! Thanks for the ideas!
